Innobella Media partners with The Unity of Faiths Foundation (TUFF) for an international music project promoting mental health, The Road to Nashville – Liverpool International Song Contest.

After the huge success of TUFF’s inaugural song contest last year, which was broadcast live by Innobella Media from Liverpool’s Cavern Club to an international audience of over 10,000 viewers, we are pleased to be partnering once again with The Unity of Faith Foundation for this year’s contest.

In 2021, over 1,500 entries were whittled down to just 10 finalists who performed live on stage at the iconic Cavern Club. This year’s contest, which is expecting even more entries, will be launched with a live event from inside the British Music Experience in the famous Cunard Building on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.

In addition to directing and producing the event, Innobella Media will be providing video production and live streaming services of the main event from BME, as well as co-ordinating the LIVE linkup between Liverpool and Nashville, which will allow representatives in both cities, including Mayor Joanne Anderson (Liverpool) and John Cooper (Nashville) to speak via the big screen and to conduct the ceremony whereby the contest’s trophy – made from a vintage Cavern Club microphone used by The Beatles – will be officially handed over from the City of Liverpool to the City of Nashville.

Innobella Media will also be collaborating with students from SAE Institute Liverpool, allowing the next generation of video camera operators, sound and lighting technicians to gain valuable real-world experience.

Founder of Innobella Media, Paul Freeman-Powell said, “It’s a huge pleasure to work with TUFF again to launch this, the second year of the Liverpool International Song Contest. Mental Health is such an important topic which needs to be discussed more openly, especially in the music industry, so we’re delighted to help facilitate this very worthwhile cause as well as cement the musical relationship between these two great cities of music, Liverpool and Nashville.

Submissions are now open until 31st August, artists and musicians can submit their entries via https://roadtonashville.us/ as well as avail themselves of complimentary mental health services.

About Liverpool International Song Contest

The International Song for Kindness Contest was launched in memory of John Lennon, in what would’ve been his 80th year.

In response to the challenging times the world has been facing, the aim of the song contest is to raise spirits – whilst offering musicians an exciting opportunity to gain international exposure and a fantastic prize for the winner. Following the example of John Lennon’s Imagine, the song contest is searching for a song of hope and optimism.
