It was an absolute pleasure to be able to livestream Lucy & Aldo’s wedding yesterday from All Hallows Church in Allerton, Liverpool. With the current Tier 2 restrictions meaning only 15 wedding guests can attend in person, it was lovely to be able to live stream the proceedings to over 300 virtual guests in 50 different households and to an International audience too, with the groom’s friends and family tuning in from Mexico at a big family party where the live streamed wedding service was being played on a big screen.
The entire wedding service was live streamed in Full HD Quality to a private YouTube page from a 3-camera setup, mixed live and with an audio feed direct from the church’s own sound system for crystal clear sound for those all-important vows. Plus, with congregational singing still not allowed we were treated to some fantastic songs from the socially-distanced choir.
No Internet? No problem…
The church that this wedding live stream took place in did not have a fixed Internet connection but we were still able to broadcast live from there by utilising our own custom-built mobile broadband setup which uses a high-gain antenna to help produce the best signal possible for your live stream. Although we can’t guarantee quality when operating like this, it worked flawlessly on this occasion and enabled the service to be streamed where otherwise it would only have been able to be recorded and shared after the event.
If you’re planning your wedding in or around Liverpool and the North West during coronavirus restrictions, your family and friends can still be a part of your big day via Internet livestreaming – and you’ll have a fantastic memento too, to keep and treasure forever.
