This VFX Breakdown shows a behind the scenes “making of” a short VFX sequence we recently worked on using Adobe After Effects, showing a couple watching TV in their living room, interacting with a Google Home device which was not present in the original stock footage.
We applied a video clip to the green screen of the television, placed and blended a Google home device in the scene to appear like it was really there, and masked the foreground so the device would disappear naturally behind it. Finally, some speech bubbles were added, motion tracked and blended to appear behind the foreground subjects.
