We’re delighted to announce that the Raspberry Pi Smart Door Lock video & project we produced with Switched On Network on YouTube has won 2nd Prize in Electromaker’s Connectivity Contest!
The projected involved creating a “three factor authentication” smart door lock system controlled by a Raspberry Pi and an electronic door strike.
After scanning an RFID keyfob, a colour LCD touchscreen would welcome the user by displaying their name and photograph, and an on-screen keypad entry would allow them to enter a 6-digit PIN. After the correct PIN is entered, a one-time passcode is sent to their mobile phone via SMS (using a web service like Twilio), and upon entry of this the door would be opened.
The video we produced for YouTube included a mixture of Paul presenting the finished product, some first-person perspective shots of the components being assembled and tested on a plain lit white background, and some B-roll shots of the system’s core elements.
We can produce videos for your company’s YouTube channel, and the high production value we can provide will allow you to maintain a high standard across all of your brand’s marketing. Get in touch to learn more!
